There is no let-up in the pace of the NBA as the 2022-23 season advances with most teams having played 30 of the 82 regular season games with the Bucks, Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers leading the charge in the Eastern Conference.

In the West, Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies led the standings ahead of New Orleans and Denver Nuggets, with reigning NBA champions Golden State Warriors struggling mid table on (15-16) for the season so far. Indeed, Morant recently had a few choice words for the Warriors, which only serves to add a little spic to the mix ahead of their Christmas Day clash. As for the famed Lakers, they’re currently sitting in 12th in the West with a record of 13-16.

NBA’s Christmas Day schedule

The pick of the day, is undoubtedly the clash at the TD Garden in Boston which sees the top team in the East, Milwaukee Bucks travel to Massachusetts in a repeat of the Eastern Conference semifinals last season, where the Celtics prevailed. In a series that went to seven intense games, the Celtics finally overcame Giannis and Co. to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals where they faced the Miami Heat. Needless to say, the Bucks will be looking for revenge in this one. With Jayson Tatum averaging 30 points per game - the same as Giannis - that prospect may be easier said than done.

Prior to the Bucks’ date with the Celtitcs, we’ve also got to turn an eye to the Lakers and Lebron, as they travel to Dallas to face the Luka Doncic powered Mavs. As appetizers go, it doesn’t get tastier than that as you prepare your palette for the main course in Boston.
