2023 NBA All-Star: Who are the coaches of the Rising Stars Game?

The NBA will showcase all the young talent at their Rising Stars Game this Friday, February 17th, at the Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The All-Star weekend is not only for the stars of today but also for the stars of the future. For the second straight year, the NBA will have a mini-tournament consisting of three games coached by three honorary NBA legends.

The teams that the NBA legends lead are composed of NBA rookies and sophomores, while a coach from that league will manage the G-League team.

Who will coach the three teams at the Rising Stars Game?

This year the Jordan Rising Stars teams will be led by Joakim Noah, Pau Gasol, and Deron Williams.

The honorary coaches had a draft selecting the players that will feature in the game. For this mini-draft, Paulo Banchero went the first pick. He will be playing for Team Pau.

Team Pau

  • Paolo Banchero (Magic)
  • Benedict Mathurin (Pacers)
  • Jaden Ivey (Pistons)
  • Scottie Barnes (Raptors)
  • Jose Alvarado (Pelicans)
  • Keegan Murray (Kings)
  • Andrew Nembhard (Pacers)

The G-League team’s coach is Jason Terry, who is a current Jazz assistant coach, in addition, to winning an NBA title back in 2011 and being a former coach of the NBA G League’s Grand Rapids Gold.
