The Knicks and Lakers, representing the country’s two largest markets, accounted for almost 40% of the league-wide ticket sales, per StubHub.
The lowest-priced tickets for the sold-out game on Vivid Seats were initially priced at $341. However, after adding $107.37 in fees, the price increases to $448.37.
On one popular resale site, service fees add up to more than $5,000. For instance, a courtside seat with an unobstructed view of the game is listed on StubHub for $14,986; after adding on fees, the total comes to $20,237. Even seats just a few rows from the court range from $1,800 to $12,547, not including the added fees. The game in question is Game 3 of the first-round Eastern Conference matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night at Madison Square Garden.
