STACY REVEREAFP

The NBA’s most popular and notable players of the current season will meet for another edition of the ALL-STAR game. This year the teams will be captained by LeBron James for the West and Giannis Antetokounmpo for the East. This will be the second time that both players will lead the games against each other.

There are no major surprises regarding which players have been selected for the game. However, the most notable snubbed for a started spot must be the reserve status of Joel Embiid. The Nigerian has been superlative, but competition for this position is fierce. And, like most years, some stars will make their first ALL-STAR appearance.

Which players have been selected for their first NBA ALL-STAR game?

This year will feature three new faces at the ALL-STAR game; for the East, Tyrese Halliburton will have his first game appearance, and for the West Gilgeous-Alexander and Markkanen will all play in their first ALL-STAR Game. These guys will probably have a few minutes during the game, yet still a great achievement to make it this far.

This is a very selected number of people, and there aren’t many spots for new guys.

When is the NBA ALL-STAR game?

The game will take place on Sunday, February 19th, at 7:30 pm ET. You will be able to see the game on TNT.
