From Cooper Flagg to VJ Edgecombe: These are the most interesting players to watch in the NBA Las Vegas Summer League 2025
Here’s who’s playing at the upcoming NBA Summer League 2025.

The NBA Summer League is upon us, and there is plenty to get excited about. The roster switches are keeping us all on our toes and the new Draft inclusions are sure to make us stand up and applaud.
With that in mind, here’s a look at which players we should all be keeping an eye on at the upcoming festival of fun:
Where else to start but with Cooper Flagg. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft is poised to make his debut with the Dallas Mavericks on July 10 against the Los Angeles Lakers. Flagg is a 6′8″ forward from Duke and comes with huge pressure on his shoulders after being named the 2025 National Player of the Year Regarded as one of the most promising draft prospects in recent memory, Flagg’s debut is highly anticipated — especially with the matchup against Bronny James.
As well as Flagg, we have V.J. Edgecombe. Selected No. 3 overall by the Philadelphia 76ers, he delivered a remarkable performance in his Summer League debut, scoring 28 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a close loss to the Utah Jazz. Known for his competitive edge, Edgecombe was also heard trash-talking opponents during the game, showcasing his fiery demeanour on the court.
Ace Bailey of the Utah Jazz is another top pick to keep an eye on during the tournament. The No. 5 overall pick has showcased his elite athleticism at the younger levels, but failed to shine on his debut for the Jazz. However, despite only scoring eight points on 3-of-13 shooting against VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers, he’s expected to come good with time, and should not be rushed.
GG Jackson II, remember the name. The South Carolina native bagged 27 points (11-18 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, and two blocks across 30 minutes in Monday’s 112-111 Summer League loss to the Jazz, showing off his impressive talent.
In the Jazz’s win over the aforementioned Grizzlies, Sensabaugh stole the show, finishing with a simply astonishing 37 points (9-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 13-14 FT), four rebounds, two steals and one assist across just 27 minutes of action.
