Update:

The Golden State Warriors are focused on staying competitive heading into the upcoming NBA season, but their fanbase isn’t exactly thrilled with the front office’s moves - or lack thereof. Calls for reinforcements have grown louder after a quiet start to the offseason.

Last season ended in disappointment for the Dubs, who were bounced from the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves in just five games during the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

Which players have joined the Warriors for the 2025/26 season?

So far, the only additions to the roster have come via the NBA Draft. On Sunday, the team confirmed the acquisitions of two second-round picks: Australian forward Alex Toohey, selected 52nd overall by the Phoenix Suns, and Will Richards, taken at No. 56 by the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Warriors’ first confirmed departure is a significant one. Kevon Looney, a key piece of Golden State’s frontcourt for the past decade, is heading to the New Orleans Pelicans on a two-year, $16 million deal.

Who could Golden State bring in?

As things stand, Golden State is expected to return with a starting five nearly identical to last season’s.

However, rumors of potential reinforcements continue to swirl. Among the names linked to the Warriors are veteran big man Al Horford and star guard Damian Lillard - though no deals are imminent.

Warriors’ projected starting five as things stand:

  1. Stephen Curry
  2. Brandin Podziemski
  3. Buddy Hield
  4. Jimmy Butler
  5. Draymond Green
