Grizzlies vs. Timberwolves Game 5: times, TV, how and where to watch NBA online
It’s the Memphis Grizzlies’ turn to host the Minnesota Timberwolves for Game 5 of their opening round playoff series matchup. Here’s how to watch the game.
The Minnesota Timberwolves were able to bounce back from a mortifying Game 3 loss and are now tied with the Memphis Grizzlies, 2-2, in the NBA playoff series opening round.
The Grizzlies failed to ride on the momentum of their 26-point comeback victory in Game 3, and succumbed to the Timberwolves 119-118 on Saturday night, in a match that was marred by a protest.
Towns bounces back
Karl-Anthony Towns led the charge and made up for a disappointing performance in the previous game by racking up a career playoff-best 33 points and 14 rebounds. Anthony Edwards also shone, contributing 24 points.
Backup guard Jordan McLaughlin was a key player who delivered when it counted most, putting up 16 points on 4-for-4 three-point shooting within 14 minutes.
Morant disappoints
Star point guard Ja Morant, meanwhile, struggled and was only able to put up 11 points on 4-for-13 shooting. This is far from his career playoff scoring average of 27.8 points. He also got into foul trouble, resulting in him seeing action on the court for only 33 minutes.
Minnesota’s defense has been working to stop Morant and he needs to make the Wolves work harder defensively. Having the home court advantage could get Morant back into his rhythm and help Memphis pull ahead in the series.
