The Indiana Fever took on the Chicago Sky in an exciting WNBA clash, and rookie wonder Caitlin Clark stole the show. After an intense match, the Fever won 91–83, and Clark’s performance was great.
Clark scored 23 points, tying her season high, and added 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Her shooting was efficient. Her shooting percentage in the game against the Chicago Sky was 47.8%. She made 11 of her 23 field goal attempts and sank three-3s. It seems the rookie is starting to get the “feels” for the WNBA, the learning curve is coming, and the Fever couldn’t be happier about it. She is also the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 200 points.
The better Caitlin Clark does the worse the optics is for Team USA
Until the games in Paris start, anything that Clark does with her team will be looked at carefully. Her recent exclusion from the Olympic team shocked the basketball world. She is arguably the most important player in the WNBA, and the TV coverage her games receive is proof of that.
The last game against the Sky had a full house, and even though Angel Reese was there to add to the feud these two have carried since college, it was Clark who stole the show.
The Indiana Fever’s next game is against the Washington Mystics on Thursday, June 29, 2024, at 7:00 pm ET. They’ll be playing at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Fever are finally climbing on the table and this game could be an easy for them given they play at home.
