The Clippers continue to play without star player Kawhi Leonard who is absent with a knee problem and will look to other players to maintain the momentum after a 109-97 victory for a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.

Ivica Zubac (22 points), James Harden (28) and Paul George (22) were instrumental in the win over the Mavs in Game 1 despite the best efforts of Luka Doncic with the Slovenian racking up 33 points for the visitors with Kyrie Irving also chipping in with 31.

The Clippers are aiming to get past the Mavericks in the playoffs for the third time in five seasons after winning a first-round series in both 2020 and 2021.

The series heads back to Dallas for Games 3 and 4 on Friday and Sunday next.
