LeBron James speaks about his son Bronny’s choice of college
The Lakers star son will soon make a college commitment, and everyone is waiting to see where the eldest James will go to.
As the time for his choice draws near, rumors have started to emerge regarding the several teams interested in signing LeBron James Jr. It has been said that USC and UCLA are two schools that are relatively near home. Ohio State brings him closer to the place where his father’s legacy was first established. The state of Michigan, another superpower, and the state of Oregon, which is likely Nike’s favored location, are both included on the list of favorites.
However, LeBron James warned everyone not to pay attention to the rumors or speculation surrounding Bronny’s future just yet. The Lakers’ top player responded to a piece that said Oregon had an advantage over other potential landing destinations by sending out a tweet underlining that no source is credible until Bronny himself provides an official statement regarding his decision.
According to a report by Jamie Shaw of On3, which was published on Tuesday, Oregon is currently in the lead position to obtaining a commitment from Bronny. His father gave a response to the news not shortly after it was published, stating that it is still early in the recruiting process and that Bronny will reveal his choice once he has made it:
Why everyone wants Bronny
Given the amount of attention that is guaranteed to come their way, the university that ends up recruiting Bronny will undoubtedly see one of the most significant increases in notoriety that any recruit has ever brought them. But in the end, all LeBron wants is for his son to go through it like any other young basketball player who is trying to build his name for himself.
During this year’s NBA offseason, Bronny James has a significant choice to make, and LeBron James is obviously in “dad mode,” trying to separate the facts from the speculations.
