James Harden and Joel Embiid are very close to making history in Philadelphia. This was the plan when the team brought the beard to Philly from Brooklyn. Unfortunately, it was a bust last year, and the dream could not be. But it is all different now. The team is just one game away from making it to the conference finals in the East.

Philadelphia has experienced several chances to overcome their conference finals dry run in recent years. The three Game 7 losses in the conference semifinals since 2012. These include the 2019 defeat to the Raptors, led by Kawhi Leonard, and the 2021 disappointment against the Hawks, led by Trae Young.

When was the last time the 76ers reached the conference finals?

Philadelphia’s last time in the conference finals was in 2001. The Sixers had a great run, with Iverson leading the team to an exciting seven-game series victory over the Raptors that year. Iverson and the Sixers progressed to the Eastern Conference Finals after eliminating Toronto. They then went on to eliminate the Bucks in seven games.
