Yanic Konan Niederhauser, Penn State, C
He’s got size and athleticism. For a young big man, those are two valuable qualities. He may not be the most physical or aggressive but what he lacks in know how, he makes up with god given physical attributes. He’s stats doubled despite moving to a better conference from Northern Illinois early in his career. He’s going to need time to develop into an effective two way player, but there is no questioning his ability around the rim and on the boards.
Stats: 17.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.7 apg
WITH THE FINAL PICK OF THE FIRST ROUND OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS SELECT YANIC KONAN NEIDERHAUSER
Liam McNeeley, UConn, G
McNeely shot nearly 40% from downtown in his time at UCONN. He’s a cat and release shooter than runs off screens and gets himself open. He’s 6’7” and has a sweet stroke but could work on his ball handling a little more to get the most out of his offensive game. He’s not the quickest cat in the pack but his length will help him guarding the perimeter at the next level. He’s a work in progress but anyone can shoot the ball like he can is going to be a valuable asset.
Stats: 14.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 2.3 apg
WITH THE 29TH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE PHOENIX SUNS SELECT LIAM MCNEELY!
This pick is heading to Charlotte.
Hugo Gonzalez, Spain, G
Gonzalez has been playing in Spain and in the Euroleague for the better part of two years. His body has grown into itself in that time and that has made him more of an impact player on the defensive side of the ball. He’s got work to do scoring the ball, but he’s springy and explosive, and an excellent ball handler for his size. This kid plays with energy, and that can spark his team in times of need. He didn’t get a load of playing time with Real Madrid, but in the time he did get he made a big impact.
Stats: 1.9 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.3 apg in Euroleague
WITH THE 28TH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE BOSTON CELTICS SELECT HUGO GONZALEZ!
Danny Wolf, Michigan, F
A big boy who can play down low and get buckets, or set up his teammates with cuts off the ball. He’s got great vision, and was a triple double threat for Michigan last year. He’s a decent three point shooter, and has a high basketball IQ coming form an Ivy League school to Michigan. He could struggle at times with the physicality and quickness of the NBA, but he’s got the smarts to be able to overcome that.
Stats: 13.2 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 3.6 apg
WITH THE 27TH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE BROOKLYN NETS SELECT DANNY WOLF!
Ben Saraf, Israel, G
One of the top scoring prospects out of any of the players coming from overseas, Saraf sas a big body, soft hands and a sweet shooting stroke. He’s got great basketball instincts and the ability to create while making good decisions on the go. He’s not the best of shooters, but getting to the bucket and collapsing defenses helps his teammates get open shots. He’s got a lot of potential, and has showed signs of that with Ulm in Germany.
Stats: 12.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 4.6 apg
WITH THE 26TH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE BROOKLYN NETS SELECT BEN SARAF!
Jase Richardson,Michigan State, G
He’s got NBA star pedigree in his blood, but it’s his work ethic that took people by surprise over the last year at Michigan State. He rose to be a star with Coach Izzo, as he was one of the keys to success for the Spartans. He’s just over 6 foot, but he’s fast, explosive and has a natural feel for the game. He plays quick, but doesn’t make many mistakes, and maybe his best attributes are on the defensive side of the ball.
Stats: 12.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 1.9 apg
WITH THE 25TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE ORLANDO MAGIC SELECT JASE RICHARDSON!
Nique Clifford, Colorado State, G
Clifford is one of the oldest players in the draft and one of the most well rounded players. At 23 he has had time for his body and game to develop, and that lead to him almost averaging a double double with Colorado State. Unfortunately the later you come out of school, the more it seems to work against you, but he’s a mature kid who can come fit in to a locker room of pros easier than some of the teenagers.
Stats: 18.9 ppg, 9.6 rpg, 4.4 apg
WITH THE 24TH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER SELECT, NIQUE CLIFFORD!
This pick is heading to the Sacramento Kings.
Asa Newell, Georgia, F
He was just a freshman last year but he has one of the most NBA ready bodies in the draft. He’s 6’9” over 220 and is swift on his feet with a want to get his hands dirty on the defensive end. He’s not a great shooter but he’s got a mix of strength and a soft touch around the rim and the ability to break through fouls and finish down low.
Stats: 15.4 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.9 apg
WITH THE 23RD PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE NEW ORLEANS PELICANS SELECT ASA NEWELL!
This pick is heading to the Atlanta Hawks
Drake Powell, North Carolina, G
He didn’t get a whole lot of time to shine with the Tar Heels but in that time he showed how effective he can be as a role player with his ability to hit the three and lock in on defense. He shot almost 40% from the arc and with a 7 foot wing span he get be a pest on the defensive end. He didn’t get a lot of playing time to show his skills, and you can’t imagine that he will get more in his first few years, but he is a guy who will always bringing intensity and aggression on the defensive end.
Stats: 7.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.1 apg
WITH THE 22ND PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE ATLANTA HAWKS SELECT DRAKE POWELL!
This pick will be heading to Brooklyn.
Will Riley, Illinois, G
With a long and lengthy frame Riley’s instincts for scoring the ball were visible at Illinois. He can shoot the ball from outside or get to the deck, but he needs to pack on a bit of muscle which will help him body defenders getting to the rack and keep players in front of him on defense. His ball handling for his size is impressive, and if he continues to evolve as his body fills out and he gets a little thicker than he could turn out to be one of the steals of the draft.
Stats: 12.6 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.2 apG
WITH THE 21ST PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE UTAH JAZZ SELECT WILL RILEY!
Kasparas Jakucionis, Illinois, G
A primary ball handler that can read a defense and dissect a pick and roll to perfection, the Lithuanian is just as good passing the rock as he his scoring it. He’s got good size and a knack for getting rebounds despite his 6’5” frame. If he can learn to take care of the ball, he will be a great player despite his lacks of explosiveness.
Stats: 15 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 4.7 apg
WITH THE 20TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE MIAMI HEAT SELECT KASPARAS JAKUCONIS!
Nolan Traore, France, G
Traore is out of the French crop of players that has already been playing pro ball overseas. He’s got decent size for a point guard at 6’3” 175 lbs. He’s fast, quick and explosive, but has the presence of mind to slow down the game when he needs to. Like all young guards, he needs to keep his turnovers to a minimum, but he has tremendous vision and can score around the rim or from the perimeter.
Stats: 10.3 ppg, 1.4 rpg, 5.4 apg
WITH THE 19TH PICK IN THE 2025 DRAFT, THE BROOKLYN NETS SELECT NOLAN TRAORE!
Walter Clayton Jr., Florida, G
Clayton is not only a National Champion, but he was the most clutch player in the game during the NCAA Tournament. He has a flare for the spectacular and an incredible ability to score or create off the dribble. He’s not the biggest of players, but he more than capable of making up for it with his explosiveness and his ability to pull up from just about anywhere on the court. His draft stock sky rocketed towards the end of the tournament, and now will take his talents to the NBA.
Stats: 18.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 4.2 apg
WITH THE 18TH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE WASHINGTON WIZARDS SELECT WALTER CLAYON JR.
This pick will go to the Utah Jazz after a trade.
THE 18TH PICK IS BEING TRADED FROM THE WASHINGTON WIZARDS TO THE UTAH JAZZ
Joan Beringer, France, C
The frenchman didn’t put up massive numbers in the Eurocup last year, but at 6’11” and a body ready for the NBA he is already a great shot blocker and rebounder. The other things he can pick up along the way, but hustle and intangibles that can’t be taught are already there. He’s a shot blocking expert with a great feel for the game. His touch will get softer as he grows, especially when you consider he has played basketball for less than five years.
Stats: 4.6 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 0.2 apg in Eurocup
WITH THE 17TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT THE MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES SELECT JOAN BERINGER
Hansen Yang, China, C
One of the few 7 footers in the draft class, Yang can almost touch the rim standing flat footed. He exploded on to the scene with a great combine performance after spending two years in China’s pro league. With soft hands, great vision and a a decent jump shot he can play down low or off the pick and roll. He’s stock has gone way up over the last few months and now it’s time to see how that translates at the highest level.
Stats: 16.2 ppg, 10 rpg, 2.8 apg in China
WITH THE 16TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES SELECT HANSEN YANG!
This pick is on it's way to Portland
Thomas Sorber, Georgetown, C
A G’Town big man is always going to draw some interest and some attention. Sorber was a freshman with he Hoyas but still almost averaged a double double despite being a bit undersized at 6’9”. He does have a massive wingspan and uses it on both ends of the court. On defense he’s a rim protector with great instincts and has an ease scoring around the rim which will help him when he goes up against bigger centers in the league
Stats: 14.5 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 2.4 apg
WITH THE 15TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE NBA CHAMPION OKC THUNDER SELECT THOMAS SORBER!
Carter Bryant, Arizona, F
If you look at his stats from last year, they aren’t going to blow you away, but you have to take into account he was on a team packed full of vets. He’s still very young and does a lot of things that NBA teams look for. He’s a two way player who might be a bit more efficient on the defensive side, but we are just seeing the tip of the ice burg when it comes to he’s scoring ability.
Stats: 6.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1 apg
WITH THE 14TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS SELECT CARTER BRYANT!
Derik Queen, Maryland, C
Offensively, Queen is a genius. He can do a little bit of everything including shooting the ball from range and around the basket. His fitness has been doubted in the past, but once he gets to the big leagues some of that mass could slim down which will help him scoring as well as on defense. He’s too small to be a center, but he can create some mismatch problems when he has a big man on him.
Stats: 16.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.9 apg
WITH THE 13TH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE ATLANTA HAWKS SELECT DERIK QUEEN!!
This pick will be traded to the New Orleans Pelicans
THE 13TH PICKS HAS BEEN TRADED FROM THE ATLANTA HAWKS TO THE NEW ORLEANS PELICANS!!
Noa Essengue. France, F
With a year of top level pro basketball under his belt in the Eurocup and Gereman league, this lengthy, talented swingman is a playmaker that knows how to get to the basket and how to get to the FT line. He’s not at SGA’s level just yet, but getting to the line and knowing how to get there is always a plus. He’s got great vision and uses his long arms well on the defensive end. Another French youngster looking to make an early impact in the NBA.
Stats: 12.4 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 1.1 apg in Eurocup
WITH THE 12TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE CHICAGO BULLS SELECT NOA ESSENGUE!
Trade alert!
The Blazers are going to trade Coward to the Memphis Grizzlies in a deal to be finalized later.
Cedric Coward, Washington State, F
Coward came from Division III to stardom at Washington State where he had a short but sweet stint. He’s got a beautiful jumper and long arms to get into passing lanes on the defensive side of the ball. A shoulder injury kept him from making a big name for himself in his final year in school, and that prevented him from improving on some of the things he needs work on like his decision making and ball handling. He’s a raw talent that can blossom into an efficient scorer in the NBA.
Stats: 17.7 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 3.7 apg
WITH THE 11TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE PORTLAND TRAIL BLAZERS SELECT CEDRIC COWARD!!
Khaman Maluach, Duke, C
The big Dukie didn’t put up crazy stats, but a 7’1” he has a big body that will be an immediate impact on the defensive end. He needs to polish his game on the offensive end, but with a 7’7” wingspan he is a constant alley oop threat and with more time he will start to shine with his low post game. He’s one of the youngest players in the draft and his ceiling is sky high.
Stats: 8.6 ppg, 6.6 rpg, 0.5 apg
WITH THE 10TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE HOUSTON ROCKETS SELECT KHAMAN MALUACH!
His rights have been traded to the Phoenix Suns
Collin Murray-Boyles, South Carolina, F
This undersized big man was a force in the SEC. He put up huge numbers all year as he bullied post players all year in South Carolina. His toughness will never be questioned, but he can help out on the offensive end in other ways than scoring. He either needs to get better passing the ball, shooting the ball or both, but his aggression will win him a lot of fans at the next level.
Stats: 16.8 ppg, 8.3 rpg, 2.4 apg
WITH THE 9TH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT THE TORONTO RAPTORS SELECT COLLIN MURRAY-BOYLES!!
Egor Demin, BYU, G
It’s been said that Egor is the best passer in the draft, and at 6’8” that makes him a luxury pick for a team looking for a creator at the point guard position. He’s 5.5 assists a game weren’t the tops in the league but his feel for the game is unique. He needs work on his shot, but that can be fixed as long as he didcates himself. He’s got a lot of upside, and that will be seen sooner rather than later.
Stats: 10.6 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 5.5 apg
WITH THE EIGHTH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE BROOKLYN NETS SELECT EGOR DEMIN!
Jeremiah Fears, Oklahoma, G
There is no shortage of creativity and ability off the dribble for this youngster who enrolled early at the University of Oklahoma. He has incredible handles and that translates at the next level. He can score the ball, and will become a great passer when he has players around him that can score. Defensively he still has room to grow, but that will come with age, experience and a bigger sturdier body.
Stats: 17.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 4.1 apg
WITH THE SEVENTH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE NEW ORLEANS PELICANS SELECT JEREMIAH FEARS!!
Tre Johnson, Texas, G
Johnson is shifty, explosive and crafty around the rim. On top of that he’s got great touch from the perimeter with a natural knack for scoring. He scored almost 20 points a game in his freshman season, but he’s going to have to refine his shot from the perimeter. He’s got a lot of potential, and he is still young. These next few years are going to be big for his development.
Stats: 19.9 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.7 apg
WITH THE SIXTH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE WASHINGTON WIZARDS SELECT TRE JOHNSON!
Ace Bailey, Rutgers, G
There were a few things that made teams take a step back, or shy away from in the predraft lead up, but Ace Bailey is a certified scorer who can bang on the boards. He’s got range, but can put it on the deck and attack the rack, but is just as aggressive on the defensive side of the ball. He’s an all around player that has the talent to excel.
Stats: 17.6 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 1.3 apg
WITH THE FIFTH PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT, THE UTAH JAZZ SELECT ACE BAILEY!
Kon Knueppel, Duke, G
With good size and a great basketball IQ, he is a guy that can plug into any team. He’s never going to be a star but he is a perfect glue guy who can bring a sense of leadership and maturity to a locker room. On top of that he’s a greed shooter, especially from the perimeter with a bulldog mentality on both ends of the court.
Stats: 14.4 ppg, 4 rpg, 2.7 apg
WITH THE FOURTH PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT THE CHARLOTTE HORNETS SELECT KON KNUEPPEL!
VJ Edgecombe, Baylor, G
This dude is a freak. Everyone in the NBA is a great athlete but sometimes guys come around that make you drop you jaw in amazement. This is one of those guys. His game isn’t just jumping out of the gym, he can shoot the rock with tremendous touch and can handle the rock. It should come as no surprise that someone this athletic can lock down on defense to, and when he gets in the open floor, watch out.
Stats: 15 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.2 apg
WITH THE THIRD PICK IN THE 2025 DRAFT THE PHILADELPHIA 76ERS SELECT VJ EDGECOMBE!
Dylan Harper, Rutgers, G
Harper was a scoring machine at Rutgers. He’s a shoot maker and a shot creator. He can score off the dribble or off the ball and he’s got a great frame to translate to the next level. He’s an effective finisher around the iron and can find the open man when the defensive closes in on him. Rutgers didn’t have a great year, but he was the brightest part of a dark season for the Scarlett Knights.
Stats: 19.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 4 apg
WITH THE SECOND PICK OF THE 2025 NBA DRAFT THE SAN ANTONIO SPURS SELECT DYLAN HARPER
Cooper Flagg, Duke, F
He is the best player in he draft. Without a question, the No. 1 pick, and it’s been like that for a long time. Flagg outshined expectations in his one year at Duke even as a 17 year old, and now the 6’8” swing man who can do a little bit of everything is officially the top pick in the draft.
Stats: 19.2 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 4.2 apg
WITH THE FIRST PICK IN THE 2025 NBA DRAFT THE DALLAS MAVERICKS SELECT COOPER FLAGG!!!
THE 2025 NBA DRAFT IS UNDERWAY FROM BARCLAYS CENTER!!!
THE DALLAS MAVERICKS ARE ON THE CLOCK!!
Slow night for these teams
There are teams that will be awfully busy over the next couple days, and other teams that won’t. The Knicks, Lakers, Warriors, Bucks, Pistons and Pacers will all have just one pick barring any trades. These are teams that were contenders this year, and have an established team heading into next season, but the Lakers and Warriors are getting old, and the Bucks are rumored to be looking to move Giannis. There could be a lot of movement before the night is over.
Foreign exchange
This isn’t like the drafts of the last few years. There are some good foreign players scattered across the board, but there isn’t the type of hype surrounding the guys from overseas as we have seen lately. There is no Wemby, or Alex Sarr or Zachary Risacher. It would be surprising to see anyone from overseas go in the top 5. Noa Essengue is the highest rated pick, as part of the continuing French Revolution, but he is rated as a top 10 prospect at best on most draft boards.
Ace’s wild
One of the top prospects in the draft has raised some eyebrows canceling workouts with a couple of teams with high draft picks. He’s the projected 3rd pick in the draft but refused to go to meet the Philadelphia execs, which is surprising considering they have the third pick in the draft. Bailey didn’t meet with any teams leading up to the draft, and that is more than surprising to say the least. According to reports, that hasn’t effected the teams position on drafting him, but that remains to be seen over the next few hours.
Mavs miracle
What a last few months it’s been for the Dallas Mavericks. The city was on the verge of revolt against the franchise and GM Nico Harrison after the covert overnight operation that sent Luka Doncic to LA for Anthony Davis. The city was up in arms as they lost the face of the franchise, but now the waters have settled and it’s only because the Mavs got a miracle. With less than a 2% shot of winning the lottery, they some how got the number one pick and now Dallas will have their new Maverick in Cooper Flagg.
Who goes No. 2?
All the chatter coming into the night has been around Cooper Flagg, but really there isn’t much of a mystery around that. The real question is who goes number two, and you would have to think it’s one of the two Rutgers stars. Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey are both at the top of most people’s draft board. The question is who will the Spurs take with the No. 2 overall pick?
Busiest draft night
The Draft is a night for franchises trying to get out of the bottom of the barrel need to relish. Just look at the Oklahoma City Thunder who built a team with solid drafting and perfectly calculated trades. That is what some of the teams tonight will be aiming for. The Spurs are in that process now. They have had a load of high picks over the last few years, and this year is no different. They have two lottery picks at the 2 and 14 spot. No team will have a busier night than the Brooklyn Nets who have four picks in the first round.
Flagg first to go
Just like LeBron, or Zion Williamson or Wemby, Cooper Flagg’s name has been ringing in the NBA circuit for the last few years. After heading to Duke a year early all he did was win national player of the year and solidify his place as the top pick in the draft. Cooper Flagg is going to be a name we hear a lot over the next decade or two. Tonight we find out where he lands.
