The Atlanta Hawks were the biggest winners at the 2024 NBA Draft Lottery as they will have the number one pick when the main 2024 NBA Draft takes place next month.
Who could the Hawks pick first in the 2024 NBA Draft?
French center Alex Sarr could be set to follow in the footsteps of countryman Victor Wembanyama as the projected top pick for most experts. The 19-year-old may well now make the move from Australia, where he currently plays for the Perth Wildcats, to Georgia.
The Hawks finished 10th in this year’s Eastern Conference but missed out on a place in the playoffs after being defeated in the first round of the play-on tournament.
Wizards, Rockets and Spurs complete top four
The Washington Wizards will pick second, and the Houston Rockets third, taking their pick from the Brooklyn Nets. The draw assigned the fourth pick to the San Antonio Spurs, who chose first - Wembanyama - in 2023.
The Spurs will also get the eighth pick, which has been transferred from the Toronto Raptors.
The Boston Celtics had the best record of all NBA teams in the recently completed regular season and will therefore pick last in the first round.

When is the 2024 NBA Draft?
For the first time, the 2024 NBA Draft will be held over two nights.
This year’s event will take place on 26 and 27 June at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
There will be 58 picks instead of the usual 60, with both the Philadelphia 76ers and the Phoenix Suns losing a second round pick for violating the NBA’s tampering rules during free agency.
