The Toronto Raptors defeated the 76ers on Monday night in their Eastern Conference first-round series against Philadelphia.

Without Fred VanVleet, they still forced a Game 6 in Toronto with their 103-88 victory.

Pascal Siakam totaled 23 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, while reserve forward Precious Achiuwa outscored Philadelphia’s bench, with 17 points to the 76ers 11 bench points.

Joel Embiid with a thumb injury

76ers’ Joel Embiid had 20 points, playing with a thumb injury that wore him out at times in the third quarter, and James Harden scored 15 points on 4-11 shooting. Embiid will persevere through the rest of the season before undergoing thumb surgery.

Philadelphia will play Game 6 without Matisse Thybulle, who was on the bench Games 3 and 4. The 25-year-old is not allowed to enter Canada as he’s not fully vaccinated against covid-19.
