Steph Curry injury shock gives Warriors cause for concern
The NBA superstar was listed on the Warriors’ injury list ahead of their upcoming game.

With the Warriors preparing to host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night, all eyes are on Stephen Curry’s health after the superstar was listed as questionable due to a left ankle sprain.
The issue stems from a tweak during the closing moments of the Warriors’ overtime loss to the Raptors last Sunday, a game Curry finished despite discomfort. He then rolled the same ankle in the final minute of Wednesday’s 132-125 victory over Charlotte.
While he has battled through the sprain in recent contests and admitted after the Hornets game that he was “fine”, the Warriors are weighing the risk of aggravating the injury against the importance of keeping their leading scorer on the court.

Curry added to long Warriors injury list
The franchise’s official injury report on Friday confirms his status remains uncertain and presumably tests will be carried out by medical staff until tip-off, when a decision will be made depending on how his body reacts.
As well as Curry, Draymond Green (rest) is out while De’Anthony Melton (left knee injury management) is questionable; Al Horford (sciatic nerve irritation) and Trayce Jackson-Davis (knee tendinitis) are both probable.
A Curry-less Warriors would be losing their talisman: the 11-time All-Star has averaged 28.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 46.8% from the field and 39.4% from beyond the arc from 25 appearances in the NBA.
The matchup itself has drawn together some curious narratives: OKC are sitting on a 29-5 record and have outscored their opponents by 65 points as they have put together a 3-game win streak after having lost three of four in the prior fixtures.
