After wins over the Celtics and the Cavs, respectively, the Knicks and the Pacers will face off in the 2025 Eastern Conference Finals.
After ousting the Boston Celtics, the New York Knicks have reached the Conference Finals for the first time since 2000 - and will face the team they met at this stage of the playoffs a quarter of a century ago.
Knicks knock out champs
By securing a 4-2 series victory over the defending NBA champions - thanks to a 119-81 win in Game 6 on Friday - the Knicks have set up a clash with the Indiana Pacers.
On Tuesday, the Pacers booked a Conference Finals spot for a second straight year, by sealing a 4-1 series triumph over the East’s No. 1 seed, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

What happened in the last conference final between the Pacers and the Knicks?
Back in the 1999/2000 season, the Pacers defeated New York 4-2 in the East’s conference title decider, before losing the NBA Finals to the Los Angeles Lakers. Indiana hasn’t been back to the Finals since.
Meanwhile, the Knicks’ most recent appearance in the championship series came a year earlier, when the men from the Big Apple went down 4-1 to the San Antonio Spurs.
