The Golden State Warriors are looking to improve their roster in the best way possible to compete for the Larry O’Brien Trophy in the 2024-25 NBA season. One of their targets is point guard Dennis Schröder, the Brooklyn Nets' point guard.

According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, the Warriors and Nets have engaged in talks about a possible trade for Schröder in exchange for De’Anthony Melton and three second-round draft picks.

The German guard is eligible to be traded as of December 15, so the deal won’t be officially completed until tomorrow.

Schröder signed a two-year deal worth $25.5 million with the Toronto Raptors as a free agent in June 2023 but was traded to the Nets in February of this year with Thaddeus Young in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie.

During his time in Brooklyn, he has played 23 games and averaged 18.4 points, three rebounds and 6.6 assists per game.
