According to a reliable source, Adrian Griffin, who previously served as an assistant for the Toronto Raptors for five seasons, is in the final stages of becoming the head coach for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Adrian Griffin had a successful nine-season career in the NBA, playing for five different teams. Griffin began his National Basketball Association (NBA) career in 1999–2000 with the Boston Celtics. As a rookie, his averages were 7 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.61 steals per game. Over six seasons, he played for the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Chicago Bulls, averaging 4.4 points, 3.3 rebounds, and one steal per game. He notably played in the 2006 NBA Finals as a member of the Dallas Mavericks, where he made significant contributions despite the team ultimately losing to the Miami Heat.

Shortly after his playing career ended, he was hired by Milwaukee Bucks head coach Scott Skiles as an assistant, where he would work for the next two seasons. He later worked as an assistant to well-respected coach Tom Thibodeau in Chicago in 2010. During his five years with the team, he played a crucial role in shaping their strategies and improving their players’ abilities. However, Griffin eventually moved to Toronto, where he became an integral part of the coaching staff, leading the team to a championship victory in 2019.

Fast forward to the present, the Milwaukee Bucks had the best win-loss record in the regular season but faced an unexpected turn of events in the playoffs. They were defeated by the Miami Heat in the first round, losing the series 4-1. This outcome was disastrous, especially for the Bucks’ head coach, Mike Budenholzer, a two-time recipient of the coveted Coach of the Year award. It starkly contrasted just two years ago when Budenholzer led Milwaukee to their first NBA championship in 50 years.

We expect the Bucks organization to come out with an official statement on Griffin’s acquisition in the following days.
