What NBA players are competing in the FIBA Eurobasket tournament?

FIBA’s Eurobasket 2022 has tipped off, and the competition to determine who Europe’s basketball champion will be takes place until Sept. 18.

Eurobasket 2022 has begun, and the competition to exhibit the best of European basketball will be held in the Czech Republic, Georgia, Italy, and Germany until Sept. 18.

Basketball fans will also see some of their favorite NBA players on the hard court. Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks will be joining Slovenia in their title defense, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will be playing for Greece, while two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic will see action for Serbia.

Team France has the biggest number of NBA players suiting up for them, their five stars being led by Rudy Gobert of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Their team clinched the silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The first day of play for Group A saw Spain defeating Bulgaria, 114-87, Turkey edging out Montenegro, 72-68, and Belgium slipping past Georgia, 79-76.

For Group B, Bosnia and Herzegovina won against Hungary, 95-85, Slovenia over Lithuania 92-85, and Germany versus France, 76-63.
