2024 marks the 77th year of the NBA staging high profile match-ups on Christmas Day and this year sees no let-up in the action with the league scheduling five attractive fixtures for fans to enjoy over the key day in the festive period.

The team who have featured as part of most on 25 December fixtures, are back in action as the NY Knicks kick-start the NBA marathon as they welcome San Antonio Spurs to the iconic Madison Square Garden to face the side from the Big Apple. The opening game starts at 12:00 pm ET.

The second Christmas Day game sees Minnesota Timberwolves visit Dallas Mavericks in a repeat of last year’s Western Conference final and on the corresponding day last season, Mavs’ (currently injured) Slovenian star Luka Doncic became the first player to score 50 points with 15 assists, 6 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks in the game against the Suns. Tip-off in Texas is at 2:30 pm ET.

The action continues with another Eastern Conference clash as current NBA champions Boston Celtics face the Philadelphia 76ers at the TD Garden with the action scheduled for a 5:00 pm (ET) start.

We then head to the Western Conference as the Golden State Warriors-LA Lakers and Phoenix Suns-Denver Nuggets close out the day’s action with the final two games of the quintet starting at 8:00 pm and 10:30 pm respectively.

ABC and ESPN will air all five Christmas Day games in the US with more than 13 consecutive hours of basketball coverage.
