When does Caitlin Clark play next? How to watch Fever - Wings online and on TV | WNBA
Indiana Fever will be looking to maintain their positive three game winning run when they face Dallas Wings on Wednesday.
The Indiana Fever powered by Caitlin Clark are on a roll and after taking down one of the WNBA’s top teams earlier this week, the Fever will face a team struggling in the standings when they stay on the road to play the Dallas Wings on Wednesday at Arlington, Texas.
The Fever won 81-74 at the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday by using a balanced scoring attack and finishing with a flourish. Kelsey Mitchell scored a team-best 21 points as Indiana outscored Minnesota 28-14 in the fourth quarter.
Aliyah Boston paired 17 points with 16 rebounds for the Fever, while Caitlin Clark bundled her 17 points with a team-high six assists.
Indiana improved to 5-9 on the road amid an environment that felt more like home due, in part, to the game being a relatively short drive from Clark’s home state of Iowa.
“It’s huge,” Fever coach Christie Sides said. “I mean, to be on the road in Minnesota, it’s just a different feeling. We hit a bucket late, and I looked around because the crowd just went crazy ... you’re not used to that on the road.”
Indiana (11-14) has won eight of its last 12 games after a 3-10 start. Now comes a chance to win consecutive road games for the first time this season.
Struggling Wings
The Wings have already done so, winning two straight away from Arlington in late May to improve to 3-2 and not much has gone right since.
The Wings (5-19) are just 2-17 since May 26 and are on a three-game skid following their 87-81 home setback on Saturday against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Odyssey Sims scored 23 points in the loss, while Natasha Howard tallied 14 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.
Dallas led 63-61 after three quarters against Los Angeles but was outscored 26-18 in the fourth. The Wings shot 35 percent from the floor in the final period, while the Sparks shot 60 percent.
“It’s rough, but the biggest thing for everyone is keeping our heads up,” Sims said, according to The Dallas Morning News. “I look forward to the next one. We can’t sit around and mope. Positivity is the best thing for us individually and as a group. So we’re going to stay together, continue to work.”
In eight games (six starts) since signing a hardship contract with Dallas on June 25, Sims has averaged 16.4 points with 5.1 assists.
