Braun averaged 27.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game in his final year at Blue Valley Northwest High School. His impressive performance helped his team secure their third successive state championship, cementing his position as a standout player. As a result of his remarkable achievement, Braun was awarded the coveted titles of Mr. Kansas Basketball and Gatorade Player of the Year.

Braun was offered various Division I opportunities but ultimately chose to commit to the University of Kansas. He excelled during his three seasons with the Jayhawks, earning a spot on the Big 12 All-Freshman Team in his first year and setting the stage for an impressive sophomore season.

During his junior year, Braun’s role on the team expanded as he emerged as the second-leading scorer, averaging 14.1 points per game with an impressive 49.5 percent shooting accuracy from the field. This remarkable performance earned him All-Big 12 Second Team honors as the Jayhawks advanced to the championship game.

During the final game of the NCAA Tournament against North Carolina, Braun was exceptional by scoring 12 points and securing 12 rebounds. His praiseworthy performance played a crucial role in helping the Jayhawks win their first NCAA title since the 2007-08 season.

Basking in their victory’s glory, Braun decided to declare for the 2022 NBA Draft. With the No. 21 overall pick, he was selected by the Denver Nuggets, setting the stage for his professional career.

Denver Nuggets

In the 2022-23 NBA season, Braun joined the Nuggets as a rookie and showed great potential by playing in 76 regular season games, six of which he started. Throughout his average of 15.5 minutes per game, he displayed his versatility and averaged 4.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.8 assists.

During the playoffs, Braun’s influence only increased. He has played in 16 playoff games so far this year.
