Game 3 of first-round playoff series between the Indiana Pacers and the Milwaukee Bucks (Friday April 26 with tip-off at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT.) is fast approaching, and the injury status of Giannis Antetokounmpo is still very much a in question in the mouths of many fans.

So far, the series is tied at 1-1 (109-94, 108-125), and the drama has been high; the action is now set to take place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse after two games at the Bucks’ Fiserv Forum home.

What injury does Giannis Antetokounmpo have?

Giannis has not been able to participate at all due to a left soleus (calf) strain, which has kept him sidelined for the two games so far. It was back on April 9 against the Boston Celtics during a Bucks regular season game when Antetokounmpo went to ground and he hasn’t played since; that was 18 days ago.

“He shot today. He was on the floor... He’s getting closer,” Bucks head coach Doc Rivers said on Tuesday before Game 2.

Ahead of game 3, the Greek-Nigerian is listed as ‘Doubtful’ on the official NBA injury list which all teams submit ahead of each game. This means that although featuring is not entirely out of the question, it is probably for the best that hopes are not held too high.

Chris Livingston is also noted down as doubtful with a ‘non-covid illness’, meaning his participation depends on how he feels ahead of tip-off. Another name on the injury list is that of Khris Middleton, who is listed as ‘out’ with an ankle sprain.

The game between Bucks - Pacers will be played on Friday April 26 with tip-off at 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT.
