Twenty eight of the 30 NBA teams are already in their offseason, and while the players might be enjoying some R&R, front offices around the league are already looking towards next year hoping to build a championship team.

One of the players that is likely to shake up the market is be Chris Paul, who has parted ways with the Phoenix Suns. The future Hall of Fame point guard will be one of the most sought after players during this offseason and there are already suitors lining up.

According to information from Shams Charania of The Athletic , Phoenix and Paul are looking into the option of a trade after a three year stint in the desert in which he and the Suns felt short of their championship expectations.

Chris Paul has shown he can still play, and lead a team into the playoffs so teams could be interested in his services, but not many will be willing to pick up his $30 million contract. That could mean he hits the market as a free agent in the Suns can’t work out a trade.

Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers among those interested

“If Chris Paul is available as a free agent this summer, he's going to look at both teams in Los Angeles: the Clippers and the Lakers, the Knicks in New York, the Golden State Warriors.

All of those would be potential destinations for Chris Paul, who would then sign a deal for much less than the $30 million he’s guaranteed in Phoenix if he stays there beyond the June 28 deadline.” reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
