AP College Football Top 25 poll: Alabama at the top: Georgia and Ohio State ranked 2nd and 3rd

The AP college football Top 25 list has been released after Week 1 action. The Alabama Crimson Tide topped the poll, followed by Georgia and Ohio State.

College football season has begun, with Week 1 games giving a glimpse of how the next 13 weeks might play out.

The first Associated Press Top 25 poll for the regular season has been released and the teams have been ranked. Alabama Crimson Tide occupies the number one spot, after their 55-0 victory over Utah State. The team received 44 out of 63 first-place votes.

Defending national champion Georgia climbed up to number two, surpassing Ohio State, after their Week 1 domination of Oregon, 49-3. The Bulldogs earned 17 first-place nods.

The Buckeyes slid down a spot to third place, after a 21-10 win over Notre Dame. They received only two first-place votes.

Michigan jumped four spots to number four, while Clemson slipped a place to number five.
