Today’s slate of bowl-season games brings a trio of College Football Playoff matchups, as the first round comes to a close.
The final places in the 2025-26 College Football Playoff quarterfinals are at stake in Saturday’s bowl-season games, as a trio of matchups follow yesterday’s CFP curtain-raiser.
In the playoffs’ opening first-round clash, the No. 9-seeded Alabama Crimson Tide earned a 34-24 victory over the Oklahoma Sooners, to set up a last-eight meeting with the top seed, the Indiana Hoosiers, on Jan. 1.
Now, six teams will battle it out to fill the last three spots in the quarters, where the second, third and fourth seeds - Ohio State, Georgia and Texas Tech - all await.
