Oregon vs. North Carolina: preview
On paper at least, there is very little to separate Oregon and North Carolina heading into this evening’s matchup. Both ended the regular season with positive figures - the Ducks 9-3, the Tar Heels 9-4 and both had their fair share of upheaval to deal with.
Offensive coordinator Phil Longo quit North Carolina at the start of the month to take up the same position at Wisconsin, bringing to an end four years at UNC. Oregon found themselves in an identical situation a week earlier when offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham departed to take up a coaching post at Arizona State.
Much of the focus will be on the contest between ACC Offensive Player of the Year Drake Maye and Bo Nix in what is being billed as potentially the best QB matchup in the history of this fixture.
