Penn State take on Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Capital One Orange Bowl later this evening and among those cheering from the stands will be Drew Allar’s girlfriend, Emma Bush.

High school romance

The couple who met while attending Medina High School in Ohio, have been dating since September 2019. Their relationship continued even though they studied at different universities - Drew at Penn State and Emma at Ohio State, where she is an active member of the university’s Tri Delta sorority.

She is in the third year of her BA degree course in Strategic Communications and Business and is due to graduate in May 2026.

Drew Allar’s biggest fan

Understandably, both like to keep their personal life as private as possible but we do know a little about them from their social media posts. The couple shared photos from their prom date in May 2022 - Drew looking dapper in a grey, three-piece suit and Emma in a blue satin dress with matching boutonnières.

And there is always a post in September when they celebrate their anniversary - the most recent was a collage posted by Emma showing photos of them dating back to their high school days. Emma has over 7,500 followers on Instagram, while Drew has amassed 103,000.

Drew Allar became Penn State’s starting QB in 2023 and led the team to the playoffs in 2024. He was one of the 16 semifinalists for last year’s Davey O’Brien Award and featured in the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Top 10 list.

Rumors that Drew and Emma are engaged have not been confirmed.
