On Monday, March 25, the 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament for March Madness will feature some exciting second-round games. From upsets to nail-biting finishes, the tournament promises to deliver—at least, it has been like this up until now.

(2) Notre Dame vs. (7) Ole Miss | 2 p.m. | ESPN

Notre Dame and a team from Mississippi will face off for the second year in a row in round two of the NCAA tournament. Both teams won their first-round games easily, leaving little time to prepare for Monday’s game.

Ole Miss beat Marquette 67-55, with three players scoring double figures. Notre Dame also won by double digits, with junior forward Maddy Westbeld nearly getting a double-double.

Notre Dame is without Kylee Watson due to a torn ACL so that Ole Miss can expect a physical battle with only eight players available.

(3) NC State vs. (6) Tennessee | 4 p.m. | ESPN

NC State Wolfpack (28-6) will face the Tennessee Volunteers (20-12) at Reynolds Coliseum at 4:00 p.m. ET. The Wolfpack won 64-45 over Chattanooga, while the Volunteers won 92-63 against Green Bay. Aziaha James scored 19 points for the Wolfpack, and Rickea Jackson scored 26 points for the Volunteers.

(3) UConn vs. (6) Syracuse | 6 p.m. | ESPN

No. 10 UConn Huskies (30-5) will play against No. 22 Syracuse Orange (24-7) at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion on Monday at 6:00 p.m. ET.

UConn won 86-64 against Jackson State on Saturday, while Syracuse won 74-69 against Arizona. Paige Bueckers scored 28 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists for UConn, while Dyaisha Fair scored 32 points and four assists for Syracuse.

(4) Indiana vs. (5) Oklahoma | 6:30 p.m. | ESPN2

The 5th-seeded OU, with a record of 23-9 and 15-3 in the Big 12, won its first-round match against the 12th-seeded Florida Gulf Coast with a score of 73-70 on Saturday. The Sooners strive to reach the Sweet 16 stage for the first time since the 2012-13 season.

Against them will be the 4th-seeded Indiana, with a record of 25-5 and 15-3 in Big Ten, which comfortably won their first-round match against the 13th-seeded Fairfield with a score of 89-56. The Hoosiers aim to qualify for the Sweet 16 stage for the third time in the last four seasons.

(1) Iowa vs. (8) West Virginia | 8 p.m. | ESPN

Iowa’s basketball team has been exceptional offensively, scoring 90+ points in its last 90 games. Clark leads the team, averaging 30.7 points per game and recording a double-double in every postseason game. Next, the Hawkeyes face West Virginia, a team known for its strong defense. In the first round, West Virginia won against Princeton, which had a poor shooting performance. Junior guard Ja’Naiya Quinerly shone with 29 points and seven rebounds.

(2) UCLA vs. (7) Creighton | 8:30 p.m. | ESPN2

No. 2-seed UCLA (26-6) will face No. 7-seed Creighton (26-5) in the Second Round of the 2024 March Madness tournament. Creighton beat UNLV 87-73, while UCLA won against Cal Baptist 84-55. This is only the third time they meet in women’s basketball, with UCLA having a 2-0 record against Creighton under coach Cori Close.

(1) Southern Cal vs. (8) Kansas | 10 p.m. | ESPN

The Kansas Jayhawks will face the Southern California Trojans in the second round of the 2021 NCAA Tournament. The game will take place on Monday night at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. Both teams have a defensive style of play and athletic big women.

(4) Gonzaga vs. (5) Utah | 10:30 p.m. | ESPN2

The No. 16 Gonzaga Bulldogs (31-3) will play against the No. 21 Utah Utes (23-10) on Monday, March 25 at 10:30 p.m. ET at McCarthey Athletic Center. Our computer prediction suggests that Gonzaga will win 73-67.

In their previous game on Saturday, the Bulldogs defeated UC Irvine 75-56. Meanwhile, the Utes had a 68-54 victory over South Dakota State on the same day. Yvonne Ejim led the Bulldogs with 25 points in their win, while Alissa Pili scored 26 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and dished out three assists for the Utes.
