Bengals vs Bills preview
Bengals
The Bengals, who will be playing the divisional round of the AFC playoffs for the second straight year, got to this stage of the competition after a 24-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.
Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow will likely be playing behind a patchwork offensive line once again, although Cincinnati finished 7th in the NFL in points per game this season.
Zac Taylor’s team is also 7th in the NFL in passing offense and ranked 5th in converting red zone opportunities into touchdowns.
Williams and Cappa will likely be unavailable again, while CB Tre Flowers, with a hamstring issue, could miss Sunday’s game.
Bills
Meanwhile, Buffalo defeated Miami 34-31 on Sunday afternoon, with Josh Allen recording 23-of-39 for 352 yards and three touchdowns.
The Bills are third in the NFL in points allowed per game, and the second-best team in points per game.
If Buffalo advance to the next round, they could face the Kansas City Chiefs, who in 2021 defeated them in the AFC title game and in 2022 did so again in the Divisional round. If both sides emerge victorious, they will meet in Atlanta for the right to go to the Super Bowl.
While the Bengals have some injury issues, the Bills will go into the game with all of their key players ready, as Jordan Poyer, who missed practice time this week due to a knee problem, is expected to play in Buffalo on Sunday.
