Cowboys trade rumors: What moves could Dallas make before the deadline?

The 2022 NFL trade deadline is just a day away, and the Dallas Cowboys could make a move to improve their chances for a Super Bowl run this year.

The Dallas Cowboys are riding high with a 6-2 record, and they just might make a move and beat the NFL trade deadline to further beef up their roster and strengthen their bid for a place at the Super Bowl.

After their 49-29 blowout win over the Chicago Bears, they are getting into their bye week to get some rest and head into Week 10 even stronger. Will they beat the deadline and return with new players on the team?

Jerry Jones ready to go for gold

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has not closed his doors on the idea of trades, although he said earlier this month that he was not seriously looking at particular players or positions.

Buoyed by their Sunday win, he told sports host Kevin Gray Jr. that he would be willing to give up future picks to improve their chances at winning the championship this season.

Here are some names the Cowboys could be considering.

D.J. Moore, WR

The name of Panthers wide receiver D.J. Moore has been tossed around within the league as a possible trade, given that Carolina is rebuilding. As Moore is a prime bargaining chip, it might cost Dallas to sign him up. But they could accommodate his pay rate to strengthen their offense and add another top-notch pass-catcher to their ranks.

Chase Claypool, WR

Another wideout the Cowboys could consider is Pittsburgh Steelers’ Chase Claypool. He could share responsibilities with CeeDee Lamb,  especially since Michael Gallup is still coming back from his injury, and Noah Brown needs to show more consistency.

Greedy Williams, CB

Dallas could make a move on cornerback Greedy Williams, as the troubled Cleveland Browns might be convinced to offload some of their players. The 24-year-old has suffered some injuries, but he has youth on his side, and has been reliable when he does see action.
