Cowboys’ Trevon Diggs welcomes baby girl into the world with ex-girlfriend Joie Chavis
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs has an exciting year coming up as he makes his return from an ACL injury and now welcomes a new child into the world.
Trevon Diggs is making his return to the Dallas Cowboys after nearly a year off after tearing his ACL early in the season last year. Dallas is expecting big things from their cornerback, who has logged 18 interceptions in his NFL career and remains one of the best ball hawks in the league despite the injury.
Diggs’ big year includes a baby
Diggs also has another exciting change coming in his life as his ex-girlfriend, Joie Chavis just gave birth to their daughter.
Diggs posted a photo to his Instagram Story on Tuesday, in which he’s seen holding the newborn baby.
Chavis also took to Instagram Stories to share the news, posting videos of her having FaceTime calls with different family members and friends to share the news. Neither Diggs nor Chavis mention the baby girl’s name or date/time of birth, but both posted on Tuesday, and the song playing over the videos in Chavis’ Story is “Can I Call You Rose?” by Thee Sacred Souls. Maybe she is baby Rose.
Chavis and Diggs started dating sometime in 2022, and Chavis revealed the pregnancy in March 2024, naming Diggs as the father. Over the summer, however, she confirmed that she and Diggs are no longer together, replying to an Instagram comment saying “it’s obvious”.
Diggs and Chavis both have other children from previous relationships. Chavis has a 13-year-old daughter, Shai, with rapper Bow Wow, and a five-year-old-son, Hendrix, with rapper Future. Diggs has eight-year-old Aiaden and three-year-old Chosen. Aaiden’s biological mother is not known, but Chosen’s is said to be Diggs’ ex-girlfriend Yasmine Lopez. Aaiden actually became quite popular with the Cowboys fans for his adorable support of his dad on gamedays. Diggs’ baby with Chavis will be his first daughter.
Neither Chavis nor Diggs has spoken out about the reason for their split, but both are used to co-parenting and it looks like Diggs was able to be there for the birth, so it appears that baby Rose (?) will be a part of his life.
