Did the Buffalo Bills just sign the third Bosa Brother? Battered and bruised Josh Allen says so
The NFL’s reigning MVP got battered in the Buffalo Bills game against the New York Jets on Sunday, and he’s got the battle wounds to prove it.
There isn’t a single team in the NFL that has looked better than the Buffalo Bills through the first two weeks of the season. They beat Baltimore in an instant classic and crushed the Jets last week. To top it all off they just added another Bosa Brother to the roster, kind of.
Allen takes a shot in the face
Bills quarterback and reigning MVP of the NFL, Josh Allen, told reporters he was the newest addition to the Bosa family after taking a shot to the face on Sunday afternoon in New York. Allen came running off the field with a bloody nose after a Jets defender hit him inside of his helmet, square on the nose.
Reports out of Buffalo haven’t indicated a broken nose, but Allen did confirm that he will be alright after the game. When asked how his face is doing, he took a deep breath and told reporters, “We can breathe, so it’s good.”
Allen returned to the game, and helped lead the Bills to a blowout win over the Jets from the Meadowlands, and on Tuesday joked about his new look while taking a shot at one of his teammates. With his busted up nose that has got considerably more swollen since Sunday he was asked if anyone is poking fun at him or his new face, Allen said “I’m the third Bosa brother in the league.”
Bosa’s going Super Bowl Hunting
That was either a nod, or a dig at new Bills teammate Joey Bosa, and his younger brother Nick, who are not only known for being one of the most ferocious NFL families in the history of the league. The pass rushers have been a force in the league for almost a decade, but they are also known for for their big, but proportionate noses.
The Buffalo Bills signed Joey Bosa this offseason in hopes of beefing up their defense this season. The older of the two Bosa bros spent his first nine NFL seasons with the Chargers before heading to Orchard Park. He won Defensive Rookie of the Year and has made five Pro Bowls since.
Now Bosa is in Buffalo hoping to be the first family member to win a Super Bowl. Nick has been to a couple of Super Bowls with the San Francisco 49ers, but was beaten by the Kansas City Chiefs in both of those trips to Super Sunday. Coincidently KC has been the thorn in the side of Allen and the Bills for the last half decade, but Bosa will be hoping to help end the run of unfavorable results against the Chiefs and get Buffalo back to the Super Bowl.
