It is no secret that the Miami Dolphins have had a tough row to hoe getting into the playoffs. They managed to struggle their way into a spot with their Week 18 win over the Jets, but it has been a very bumpy ride through the back half of the season.

The Buffalo Bills come into the Wild Card matchup perhaps feeling hard done by, having to fight for a seat at the grownups’ table. The tragic collapse of Damar Hamlin saw the Chiefs finish above the Bills and the Bengals, both of whom beat Kansas City in the regular season.

With both their offense and defense ranking second in the NFL in scoring, the Bills are firing on all cylinders. They have won six straight at home against Miami and have only dropped one game in the last 12 to the Dolphins. Through the back end of the season, Buffalo has won the last seven games in a row.

Miami on the other hand have struggled mightily of late, with Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion troubles and Teddy Bridgewater’s finger injury blunting their offense, seeing them lose five of the last six games of the season.

Still potent enough to stay in the fight, the Dolphins are lacking that laser-like ability to close the deal.

Look for the Bills to continue their sparkling run this week and take the fight to Miami. Unless the unthinkable happens, Buffalo looks for all the world like romping past the Dolphins on the way to a deep run in the playoffs.

Prediction: Dolphins 14-28 Bills
