Fantasy Football top scorers by position: NFL 2024 week 11
The regular season is certainly taking shape now, with teams edging their way towards the playoffs, and fans chasing their own triumphs.
Week 11 in the NFL saw some impressive fantasy football performances, with standout players lighting up scoreboards across the leagues, and adding to bragging rights among family and friends.
We take a look at the breakdown of the top scorers by position, and why they’re the ones you’re either celebrating or cursing this week. A special thanks goes to the Cowboys for their Texan hospitality!
Week 11: best Fantasy Football scores by position
Quarterback: Jared Goff, Detroit Lions – 34.58 points
Goff was nothing short of spectacular against Jacksonville, throwing for 412 yards and four touchdowns. After last week’s disaster with five interceptions, Goff’s performance proved he’s not just bouncing back, he’s leaping over defenders. If you started him, congratulations; if not, consider this a lesson in faith. (2nd Joe Burrow, 3rd Bo Nix)
Running Back: Joe Mixon, Houston Texans – 35.3 points
Mixon torched the Dallas defense with three rushing touchdowns and 109 yards on the ground. Add in two receptions for 44 yards, and he was a menace in both phases of the game. His 45-yard scoring burst early on set the tone, making him the best fantasy RB of the week and a nightmare for dem Cowboys fans. (2nd Saquon Barkley, 3rd Breece Hall)
Wide Receiver: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions – 38.7 points
The “Sun God” lived up to his celestial nickname with 11 catches for 161 yards and two touchdowns. St. Brown turned Jacksonville’s secondary into a highlight reel for his résumé, catching nearly everything thrown his way. He’s the WR1 you wish you drafted... unless you did, in which case, well played. (2nd Tee Higgins, 3rd Cooper Kupp)
Tight End: Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints – 41.52 points
Hill isn’t just a tight end; he’s a multi-tool scoring machine. With 138 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, and eight catches for 50 yards, he was everywhere in New Orleans' win over Cleveland. Hill’s performance made him the top points scoring across all positions in Week 11. (2nd Brock Bowers, 3rd Jonnu Smith)
Kicker: Chris Boswell, Pittsburgh Steelers – 24 points
Six field goals in a gritty AFC North clash made Boswell the top kicker of the week. His steady leg carried the Steelers to victory over Baltimore, proving that sometimes fantasy football heroes come in the form of precision and patience. (2nd Matt Gay, 3rd Jake Bates)
Defense/Special Teams: Houston Texans – 17 points
The Texans’ defense dominated Dallas, forcing turnovers and scoring on a fumble return. Add in their ability to stifle the Cowboys’ offense when it mattered most, and they were a difference-maker for fantasy managers looking to eke out a win. (2nd Vikings, 3rd Broncos)
So, the question now is clearly who to start and who to sit for Week 12. My colleague Jennifer will be publishing some sound guidance on that later today so make sure you check back for her expert advice.
