From NFL to Hollywood: Travis Kelce’s life after retirement
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end may have played his last season in the NFL, but even if he has, it won’t be the last we see of him.

After the Kansas City Chiefs' heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, star tight end Travis Kelce is considering retirement. It’s been 13 good seasons he’s been with the Chiefs, but he’s not revealed yet if he plans to play another season or call it quits for good.

What is known is that Kelce has a future outside of the NFL - and in Hollywood.
Travis Kelce’s Hollywood future
Kelce has already dipped his toes in the world of film, as an actor, TV host, reality TV star, and most recently an executive producer. Kelce starred on FX’s horror series “Grotesquerie” and is working with Adam Sandler on the “Happy Gilmore” sequel. He was a host on Prime Video’s “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”. And he’s just made his debut as an executive producer on the dramadey film “My Dead Friend Zoe”.

The movie, written and directed by Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, stars Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris. It will premiere in theatres this Friday, February 28. Kelce worked with producer and Emmy-award winner Paul Scanalan on the film, and he confirmed to People that Kelce “100 percent” has a bright future in Hollywood after the NFL.
“Even just seeing what a difference it’s made having him involved in our project, I would say yeah,” said Scanalan. “He’s such a likable guy and he’s a good actor. I mean, he’s proven that he’s been in some good material. And he’s a good producer.”
Scanalan added that he feels like Kelce wants to work on more “purposeful projects” in the future.
“He’s made a difference in our project,” Scanalan said. “He’s really good at generating attention and getting attention on a worthy project. He’s a giving person, he’s very Midwestern that way. ”
Indeed, Kelce knows how to get attention, whether it’s singing loudly on a stage into a microphone on the football field or getting on an even bigger stage to perform with girlfriend and pop star Taylor Swift.

Now, he’ll have to decide if his future in Hollywood starts sooner rather than later. Kelce said that he wanted to take some time after the Super Bowl loss to really give the decision on retirement some thought.
“I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back, it’s gonna be something that it’s a wholehearted decision and I’m not half-assing it,” said Kelce. “I’m fully here for them and I think I could play - it’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to take on all that responsibility.”
