Few expected the opening matchup of the season between the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants to end in a 40-0 scoreline. But the fact that it did, and we’ve had another eight games each since with mixed fortunes, means that we’re very much looking forward to this clash at the AT&T Stadium. Both teams come into this on the back of losses - Giants falling to the Raiders 30-6 and the Cowboys 28-23 against the Eagles - so anticipation in high for Week 10 where both could really do with the ‘W’. So how does the injury card look and will that have an impact on the outcome of the game?

Week 10 injury update: Cowboys

For the Dallas Cowboys, the defensive backfield is under scrutiny, with Markquese Bell nursing a calf injury. His limited participation in practice raises questions about his availability come game day. Meanwhile, Tyler Biadasz, the Cowboys’ center, seems to be on a more positive trajectory, fully participating despite an ankle concern. The dynamic safety Jayron Kearse is on track, showing no signs of hindrance from a toe injury.

On the defensive line, Osa Odighizuwa’s hamstring issue is being carefully managed with limited practice, making his status uncertain. The offensive line faces challenges, too, as Tyron Smith deals with an unspecified illness, leaving him absent from practice.

Week 10 injury update: Giants

Turning to the New York Giants, they will see history made with Tommy DeVito as starting QB with Daniel Jones and Tyrod Taylor out. Then there are concerns about Adoree’ Jackson, who is dealing with a concussion and neck issues. His absence from practice on both Wednesday and Thursday raises doubts about his availability for the game.

The Giants’ receiving corps is also not without its worries, with Parris Campbell trying to recover from a hamstring injury. Running back Jashaun Corbin is navigating his way through a hamstring concern with limited participation in practice. The offensive line, crucial for protecting their playmakers, has its own share of problems. Evan Neal’s ankle injury has kept him sidelined, and both Justin Pugh and Azeez Ojulari are managing ankle issues with varying degrees of participation. Dexter Lawrence, while on rest on Wednesday, is expected to be back in action with full participation on Friday.

All this adds an extra layer of suspense to an already fierce rivalry between the Cowboys and the Giants. With key players on both sides facing uncertainties, the depth and adaptability of each team will undoubtedly be put to the test. We’ll be watching closely.
