Gronk “cheats on” Tom Brady: “I’m with my new favorite quarterback of the New England Patriots”
After Brady called Hunter Henry “the best tight end of all-time” his old teammate Rob Gronkowski knew he had to get his own back.

Their playing days might be behind them but in their new ventures, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski still share the same close connection they enjoyed out on the field during their time as teammates with the Patriots and the Bucs.
Brady couldn’t resist playful jab at Gronk
An understanding and closeness that exists long after they left the sport that they both helped define. So when discussing the Patriots blistering start to the new season sat next to Gronk live on Fox NFL Sunday, Brady, keeping a straight face declared, “Right now, Drake Maye is playing with the greatest tight end in the history of the New England Patriots - Hunter Henry” before flashing a wry smile.

Knowing Tom as he does, and his sense of humor, Gronk could see the funny side - and took it as an underhand compliment. “Wow!” he laughed. “He got me!”.
That was back at the start of the month. Gronk has been waiting for the moment to get his revenge. It didn’t take long to arrive.
Gronk gets his revenge
Gronk was back at Gillette Stadium this week to interview Drake Maye for Fox NFL, and he took advantage of the opportunity to troll his old teammate.
Pulling out his mobile phone, he told Drake: “Let’s FaceTime my old quarterback, my old favorite quarterback. I just want to let him know that I’m with my new favorite quarterback. I mean, you saw him take that jab at me, saying Hunter Henry’s the best tight end of all-time in Patriots history! I gotta balance it out now. I gotta get him back.”
Drake Maye joins an elite QB club with 200+ passing yards & 100+ passer rating in 7+ consecutive games within a season at any age:

Once Brady was up on screen and chatting, Gronk seized his moment. “Don’t take this the wrong way but I’m actually with my new favorite quarterback of the New England Patriots - he’s by far, just my favorite, like through the roof” he began, then slowly turned the camera towards Maye: “Say hello to Drake!”
“No!” Brady exclaimed, “Are you cheating on me?!” before singing the praises of the young QB and Charles Barkley. “I might have made a decent career myself if I could do some of the things that kid can do. I wish I had a lot of things that you got”.
