Let’s take a look at which divisional-round matchups have the most expensive tickets in NFL history

The 2023 NFL Divisional Round brings us some marquee matchups between the remaining best teams in the League fighting for a spot in the Super Bowl.

The League has an action-packed playoff slate this weekend, and the market indicates accordingly; three of those four games all rank in the four most expensive divisional-round matchups of all time.

Divisional Round ticket prices

Cowboys-49ers

Sunday’s Dallas Cowboys-San Francisco 49ers game has an average market price of $1,420, the most ever since 2012. The get-in price is $606, which is also the largest ever for a divisional round game.

This is the fourth time San Francisco is hosting a divisional round game since 2012, and this game is at least 160% more expensive than any of the previous three. The $1,420 average price also crushes the previous price of $547 from the 49ers’ 2020 divisional game against the Minnesota Vikings.

As soon as it became official that San Francisco would be facing Dallas, ticket prices increased by 73%.

Giants- Eagles

Despite the NFC East rivals New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles meeting for the third time this season, the average listing for attending that game is $1,106. This is not far behind the Cowboys-49ers game as this matchup ranks the second-most-expensive divisional round game of all time. The get-in price is a $390 standing-room ticket, and a seat would go up to at least $427.

When Philadelphia hosted the Falcons in the divisional round in 2018 en route to their Super Bowl title, the average price was just $457, and the get-in price was $153.

Jaguars-Chiefs

The Jacksonville Jaguars will head to Kansas City to face the Chiefs on Sunday afternoon, and it will also be Arrowhead Stadium’s priciest divisional game ever. The $484 average ticket price exceeds last season’s enthralling overtime match against the Buffalo Bills, which held a $361 average price.

Out of all eight remaining teams, the Cowboys have the longest conference championship drought, having last made it to the Super Bowl back in the 1995-1996 season. The 49ers made the 2020 title game, and the Giants last made it in 2012.

The Jaguars have the longest drought in the AFC, with their last AFC Championship in 2018. The Chiefs, on the other hand, faced the Bengals and Bills in the last two years.
