Update:

2025 is shaping up to be a good year for Jalen Hurts. In February, Hurts was not only instrumental in securing a Super Bowl win for his Philadelphia Eagles as they outclassed the Chiefs in a one sided final, but the Texan was also named MVP in the New Orleans final match up.

Things got better for the quarterback as he confirmed in an interview with Men’s Health magazine that he tied the knot to long time partner Bry Burrows with the couple dating from his time playing college football with Alabama.

The couple went public with their relationship in 2023, the same year Hurts won his first NFC Championship Game and he confirmed that the couple finally tied the knot this spring.

New Eagles deal

The Eagles signed Hurts to a five-year contract extension worth $255 million earlier this year too. This deal made him the highest-paid player in NFL history at the time. His agent, Nicole Lynn, negotiated the contract, making history as the first Black female agent to secure the largest contract in NFL history.

Hurts’ focus is now on the forthcoming NFL season which kicks-off in September and he is aware that the Eagles will be that team that everyone wants to beat.

Hurts knows he must keep winning and states in the interview that he is not chasing a set number of rings or fixated on building his brand.
