Josh Allen breaks NFL record for rushing touchdowns by a quarterback
The Buffalo Bills star quarterback hit a career milestone against the Pittsburgh Steelers, rewriting the NFL record books.

Josh Allen has made a career out of redefining what a modern NFL quarterback can look like, and on Sunday in Pittsburgh, he etched his name atop another piece of league history. With an 8-yard bulldozing touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, Allen recorded the 76th rushing touchdown of his career, passing Cam Newton for the most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in NFL history.

The record-setting score came in a game that showcased everything that has made Allen one of the league’s most unique offensive forces. Battling high winds and missing both of his starting offensive tackles, the reigning MVP leaned heavily on his legs and physicality to carry Buffalo to a 26–7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He finished with both a passing and rushing touchdown, helping the Bills climb to 8–4 as they continue their push toward the postseason.
Josh Allen’s rushing TD record puts him in rare NFL company
Allen’s rapid climb up the all-time list reflects a blend of size, strength, and fearlessness rarely seen at the position. Entering the league in 2018 as a raw-but-gifted prospect, Allen quickly emerged not just as an elite passer but as one of the NFL’s most dangerous red-zone runners. From designed runs, scrambles, and broken plays, Allen has scored in almost every way imaginable.
His 76 rushing touchdowns have come in just eight seasons, a pace that surpasses even Newton, long considered the gold standard for dual-threat power at the quarterback position.

Allen already sits 33 touchdowns clear of third place, widening the gap every time he finds the goal line. With many prime years ahead of him, the record he now holds may become one of the league’s most unbreakable.
