Justin Fields contract details: This is how much money the Jets’ QB makes
The New York Jets are trying to find their first win of the 2025 season tonight against the Miami Dolphins in Monday Night Football. The Jets will have Justin Fields under center to lead the team in Southern Florida.
Jets have their new signal caller
After a tumultuous two years with Aaron Rodgers, both the four-time MVP and the Jets decided to part ways leaving the QB1 spot open in the Meadowlands. Justin Fields was chosen to be the incumbent at MetLife Stadium as the Jets start a new era.
Fields spent last season in Pittsburgh after playing his first three seasons in Chicago. He was the Week 1 starter for the Steelers, but that was only because Russell Wilson got hurt and was sidelined for the first six weeks of the season. In that time he went 4-2, throwing for 1,106 yards, five TDs and just one interception. He also scored another five touchdown on the ground.
Now the Jets are looking to bring out the best of the dual threat QB. Fields signed a two-year deal worth $40 million, $30 million of which is guaranteed. Fields got a signing bonus of $15 million with base salaries of $5 million in 2025 and $20 million in 2026.
