Lamar Jackson breaks NFL record: how many other quarterbacks have 100-yard rushing games?
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson broke Michael Vick’s record of 100-yard rushing games on Sunday, leading that stat by a long-shot after Vick.
It’s not often you see an NFL quarterback who can run. They’re usually protected like a precious trophy made of glass and there’s a good reason for that. But that’s why it’s that much more exciting to watch a quarterback rush. And Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is one of those QBs we love to watch run.
Although the Ravens lost the game on Sunday to the Miami Dolphins, Jackson set two records - a personal one and an NFL one. He produced his 11th 100-yard game, eclipsing Michael Vick, who he was previously tied with at ten. Jackson set this record with the help of a 79-yard touchdown run, which was the longest of his career.
“I want to win,” said Jackson after the game. “That record doesn’t mean nothing if we’re not winning.”
Though Jackson may not be satisfied with that, he should feel at least proud, as behind him and Vick, no other quarterback even comes close.

Jackson finished the game against the Dolphins with a total of 119 yards on nine carries.
To give this some more perspective, it should be mentioned that Vick accomplished his ten 100-yard games in 13 seasons, while Jackson just surpassed Vick at 11 just two games into his fifth season in the NFL.
The Ravens recently announced they failed to come to an agreement with Jackson on a contract extension. He stands to make more history as he is on track to accomplish his third 1,000-yard rushing season. He is currently the only quarterback to have even two 1,000-yard rushing seasons.
