Lumen Field witnessed a nail-biting clash in which the Las Vegas Raiders let victory slip away against the Seattle Seahawks after a last-second field goal attempt was blocked.
Seattle running back George Holani opened the scoring with a 24-yard touchdown run. In the second quarter, both teams began to find their rhythm – Daniel Carlson put the Raiders on the board with a 27-yard field goal, while the Seahawks added a 10-yard touchdown pass from Drew Lock to wide receiver Tory Horton, followed by a 48-yard field goal from Jason Myers.
In the third quarter, Las Vegas responded with its first touchdown, courtesy of Dylan Laube on a 6-yard pass from Aidan O’Connell. The final quarter saw the Raiders hit their stride with two field goals from Carlson – one from 56 yards and another from 51 – and a 41-yard touchdown reception by Shedrick Jackson from quarterback Cam Miller. The Seahawks closed the gap when Jacardia Wright ran in for another touchdown.
The game was tied at 23 in the dying seconds, and the Raiders had a chance to win thanks to a late offensive drive. But Carlson’s 55-yard attempt was blocked by defensive end Jalan Gaines, sealing Seattle’s escape.
Two players of Mexican heritage made their debut: running back Damien Martínez carried six times for 10 yards, caught two passes for 15 yards, and added 25 yards on two kickoff returns. Tight end Elijah Arroyo contributed two receptions for 14 yards.
