NFL Network, Redzone reportedly being bought by ESPN
The NFL season is a little over a month away, and teams are just starting training camp, while the NFL and ESPN are reportedly working on a media deal.
The NFL season is rapidly approaching and there may be game changing news when it comes to the way we watch football on Sundays. Apparently a deal between the NFL and ESPN is close to being agreed upon.
Deal is in the works
For most of us, plopping down on the couch and strapping in for seven hours of commercial free football has become tradition. Red Zone has revolutionized the way we watch football on Sundays, and while it may be under different ownership, Red Zone looks like it will live on.
According to a report released by The Athletic, the two sides have been in touch throughout the offseason, and while a deal has yet to be signed the ESPN and NFL are “inside the 35 yard line.” A very fitting description considering that right around the part of the field that the Red Zone producers start to switch the game over in hopes for a touchdown.
NFL fans are waiting for the refs to put his arms up and signal a touchdown on this deal which would give ESPN not just Red Zone, but NFL Network and the seven games that are scheduled to be broadcast on the NFL Network this season.
Hanson back for 2025 season
There is no deal in place yet, so the figures have yet to be disclosed. You could only imagine that it’s going to be a massive deal that the NFL is set to reel in. There are reports that the package will be available to football fans for the price of $29.99.

There is a little over a month to left to figure out a deal, and find someone to host RedZone. One this we do know is Red Zone will have a familiar face behind the desk. Scott Hanson announced that he will be back to host RedZone back in the spring, despite his contract with NFL Media expiring after last season.
