NFL reveal Top 100 for 2025: Allen, Jackson, Mahomes, Barkley...

Saquon Barkley, running back for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been ranked No. 1 in the NFL’s list of the 100 best players for the 2025 season. He edged out Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen – last season’s MVP – who finished second and third respectively.

Barkley is coming off one of the greatest seasons in NFL history. He surpassed 2,000 rushing yards in the regular season, becoming only the ninth player ever to do so. At 28, he went further still, breaking Terrell Davis’s long-standing records with 2,504 rushing yards and 2,857 scrimmage yards in a single season.

His dominance made him the cornerstone of the Eagles’ run to the Vince Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl LIX, where they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs. Following that triumph, Philadelphia secured Barkley’s future by making him the highest-paid running back in the league.

Behind him in the rankings, Lamar Jackson landed in second after piling up 5,087 total yards and 45 touchdowns last season, finishing runner-up in MVP voting. In third is Josh Allen, the reigning MVP, who carried Buffalo with another standout campaign.
