How to watch the Cowboys vs Buccaneers in NFL Week 1?
With kickoff set for 8:20 p.m. ET, the Dallas Cowboys will face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on Sunday, 11 September. Live coverage begins at 7:00 p.m. ET. If you’d like to watch the game on TV, then NBC is your channel of choice. The Bucs had an eventful NFL offseason
From rumors, to retirement, to unretirement and then finally an unexplained absence, Tom Brady - who is now 45 - is apparently back in the fold and ready to play. Indeed, now the league’s oldest quarterback, Brady will begin his 23rd season in the NFL this Sunday when he takes his Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the AT&T Stadium in Dallas. No doubt, things are going to look a little different this year for TB12, with Bruce Arians having announced his retirement back in March and former defensive coordinator Todd Bowles now the man in charge.
There is also the matter of Rob Gronkowski, who, along with Ali Marpet, is no longer on the roster. The pair announced their retirement during this offseason as well. With that, Brady will have to rely on some new faces this year in the form of WRs Julio Jones and Russell Gage. The Cowboys look for redemption
If there’s one word you’d probably use to describe the Cowboys’ last season, it would be disappointing. Fans will remember Dak Prescott’s confused face when the clock simply ran out on their postseason hopes. They are of course going to be gunning for their second straight division title, which would be the first time they’ve repeated the feat since 1992-96, when they won five in a row.
At the center of it all will be Prescott, who is now in the seventh year of his NFL career. After an impressive season in which he threw for 4,449 yards and had a franchise-record 37 TD passes, with a 104.2 passer rating, the signal caller will need to be at his best against Brady and his boys. Indeed, though Dallas led the league in scoring (31.2 pts/gm) and total offense (407 yds/gm) last season, this is a team that has undergone several changes since then. There is four-time Pro Bowl WR Amari Cooper, who was traded to the Browns this offseason, WR Cedrick Wilson, who signed with Miami in free agency, and WRs Michael Gallup (ACL) and James Washington (fractured foot) are both out injured. How they fare will depend largely on how they can cope.
