The Vikings continue to raid the league, but this Sunday they’re going to have their hands full when they host ‘America’s team’ in what could well be the biggest game of NFL’s Week 11. Here are the odds and predictions.

Cowboys vs Vikings: The lay of the land

If the way in which the Vikings rolled on opponents was surprising a few weeks back, by now it should be understood that on a record of 8-1, Kirk Cousins and Co. are not playing around. Following their overtime victory in Week 10 they are now set to face Dak Prescott and the Cowboys who had their own overtime game last week, but unfortunately lost to the struggling Packers. With Dallas on 6-3 and in need of a win to sure up their playoff prospects, this could well be the closest game of Week 11.

Cowboys look to get back on the horse

Though they’re not in the worst of shape, last week’s overtime loss to Aaron Rodgers and the Packers likely left a bad taste in the mouths of the Cowboys. What’s worse, is that they were fresh off of their bye week. Indeed, the Cowboys blew a 14-point lead in the fourth quarter for the first time in franchise history. “I’m very frustrated with the end of the game, obviously,” Dallas head coach Mike McCarthy said. “I think just the biggest thing for us is we need to just go out there and just learn from these games. I love these kinds of games. That’s what I told these (guys), ‘You need these tight games to get to where you want to go.’” We can only wait to see.

Vikings look to continue plundering

At 8-1, the Vikings have won their last seven games in a row. Most recently they took down the favored Buffalo Bills in an overtime clash that sent shockwaves around the league. Though some will point to the fact that the Bills made a ton of errors, blowing a 17-point third quarter lead, Minnesota’s WR Justin Jefferson exploded with ten receptions to the tune of 193 yards and a touchdown. “I’m going to remember this one forever,” Vikings first-year coach Kevin O’Connell said. “We just had to continue to trade those blows, body blows, haymakers, and just try to be ready for the next snap, as long as they let us continue to play today.” Mention must also be made of QB Kirk Cousins who completed 30 of 50 for 357 yards and a touchdown. That’s all to say, this game is going to be fireworks as both teams are more than capable of matching and hurting each other.

Cowboys vs Vikings: The Prediction

While we’re sure this is going to be a close affair, one important factor to consider is injuries. The Cowboys’ defense is to some extent limping at the moment with the absence of defensive end Demarcus Lawrence who is dealing with foot and knee issues, cornerback Anthony Brown who is recovering from a concussion and linebacker Anthony Barr who has yet to return from a hamstring injury. With that in mind, we’re going with a Vikings win here.
