The last regular season game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Jacksonville Jaguars took place on Sep. 25, 2022, and the Chargers had an embarrassing loss at home.

Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars snapped an 18-game road losing streak with their 38-10 blowout of Justin Herbert and Los Angeles. Lawrence threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns in the victory, and the Chargers just looked outplayed and outcoached the whole game.

Things only got worse for Los Angeles with Joey Bosa leaving the game in the first half due to a groin injury, then left tackle Rashawn Slater going down with an injury in the 3rd quarter. Finally, with under two minutes left, Jaylen Guyton also went down with a painful knee injury.

Herbert, on the other hand, started after being listed as questionable all week with a rib injury. While the third-year quarterback passed for 297 yards, he finished 25 of 45 with one touchdown.

The 28-point victory was the Jaguars’ largest on the road since a 33-3 of Minnesota in 2001.

When is the Chargers-Jaguars?

Jacksonville (9-8) will host the Chargers (10-7) in an AFC Wild Card Playoff at TIAA Bank Field at 8:15 p.m. ET on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023.

As the AFC South Champions, the Jaguars are the No. 4 seed in the AFC. The Chargers clinched the No. 5 seed when the Cincinnati Bengals beat the Baltimore Ravens early Sunday afternoon.
