Update:

You might have heard about the Seattle Seahawks winning Super Bowl LX over the New England Patriots on Sunday night. That means the NFL season is over, but teams are already getting ready for next season. The NFL Draft in April is one of the next big things we can look forward to as football fans.

Raiders get top overall pick, Seahawks last

With the Seahawks win over the Patriots on Sunday from Levi’s Stadium, the Patriots were dealt the “consolation” of getting the higher pick in the NFL Draft. Unless they have a previous agreement that includes a trade, the Super Bowl champion gets the 32nd pick while the runner up gets the 31st pick. The losers of the NFC and AFC Championships get the 29th and 30th pick, with the LA Rams getting the earlier pick while the Denver Broncos getting the one right after LA.

Most of the teams that failed to make the playoffs knew where they would be picking in this spring’s NFL Draft. The NFL ordered them at the end of the season, and the Las Vegas Raiders were the winner of the sweepstakes between the four 3-14 teams. They get the first overall pick while the New York Jets get the second pick, the Arizona Cardinals third, Tennessee Titans fourth and the New York Giants fifth.

Those teams obviously have a lot of work to do to turn things around. On top of that four of those five teams have new coaches heading into the 2026 season. If the New England Patriots showed us anything this year, it’s that with good draft picks and good coaching, things can turn around in a hurry in the NFL.

Here is the official 2026 NFL Draft order.
